Happy Muslim Mama: Foster Care Fortnight

This week and next (12-25 May) is Foster Care Fortnight in the UK. In this country it appears that we have a real shortage of foster carers, but in particular of Muslim foster carers (also here), although there are exceptions.For those of you make the good intention to do this, my dua’s are with you, and for those who do this already may Allah reward you in this life and the next insh’Allah.

Abu Hurayra reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, “The best house among the Muslims is the house in which orphans are well treated. The worst house among the Muslims is the house in which orphans are ill treated. I and the guardian of the orphan will be in the Garden like that,” indicating his two fingers.
